Introducing VXU
VXU is the second largest university in southern Sweden with more than 14,000 students ? is well known for its strong international profile with over 300 international students from around the world. Over 7,000 students attend VXU making it a major regional university in the southeastern part of Sweden. The campus is located in two different parts of Vaxjo. The school of education is housed in buildings near the center of town. All other activities are located on the modern campus of the Teleborg area.
 All courses are conducted in English. Most programs consist of full-time semester of study (20 weeks) with several courses making up the curriculum. The courses are generally upper-level and require junior status for admission. In Sweden, a student studies one course at a time (consecutive scheduling). Examinations are held after each course and at the end of the term the student receives a cumulative grade for the program in addition to the individual grades for each course.
Students may enroll in a variety of courses in Political Science, Sociology, Business, Pedagogic, Humanities, Total Quality Management (TQM), Education, Swedish, Computers, Engineering, Mathematics, Communications, and Management.

Point of Exchange students
The University has extensive cooperation with European universities through the Socrates/Erasmus program in addition to the Nordic countries within the framework of Nordplus. Bilateral exchange agreements are signed with universities in Canada, Mexico and the USA as well as universities in Japan and Macau. VXU is also a member of ISEP-USA (International Student Exchange Program-USA), ISEP Multilateral and USAC.
Admission of exchange students is granted to those students who are qualified to the chosen course of study and recommended by their home university that must have a formal exchange agreement with VXU.

Between Chung-Ang University (CAU) and VXU Program
Starting of exchange for CAU students is 2007.
CAU prepare one to one exchange student program. In addition, CAU promote English lecture. Already, VXU open about 100 English language courses for exchanging students. CAU exchange students can attend lecture diversity of fields.
If you want to go VXU, you register CAU surely. If so, you remit the VXU’s tuition fee one year. All others monies are defrayed.
CAU will enlarge Exchange Universities on Sweden, be based on VXU exchange program.

Accommodation
The rooms/flats are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. This means that students who sent in there complete application will be placed first.
On request from both Swedish and international students we strive to mix students as much as possible. Therefore, nationality, gender and age are also taken into consideration when distributing the rooms.
Most of the student rooms have an Internet connection. However, the International Office cannot guarantee this as there are several rooms without this service. At the university there are places to plug in your laptop or you can use the computer rooms.

Expenses
1 sek means 129.01 won. (2006.05.16)
Food expense is 2600 sek per a month. And accommodation fee is 2500~3500 sek per a month. And another fee is 2350 sek per a month. So, amount of expenses are about 7450~8450 sek per a month. It means about Five hundred won per five month.
