Nowadays, we can see candidates insisting on their election pledges through mass media, however do you know their promises for education? Maybe it is a scholarship problem, and then parties and politicians focus on this issue and prepare many solutions. This problem became an issue by political organizations in each University (Democratic Labor Party students committee, The Korean university student’s associations, Unions, etc.) and these internal movements in university effect real politics.

Then is it possible to have a political movement in a school? Many people are opposed to each other because of the differences of thinking on this question. The complication between Democratic Labor Party students committee (DLP) and students’ association in Chonbuk National University is the representative examples on this phenomenon. On the 3rd of April, the students’ association decided that this political movement (DLP) in school is illegal and pressed this organization for an action, however DLP rejected the association’s request and asked for an open forum. Students’ associations raised their voice “DLP must follow this decision which was decided through reasonable procedures.” But Kim Kwan-Joong (00, Department of fabrics production) who is a chairman in DLP against “Several Political movements are described clearly on the Constitution of the Republic of Korea, and the action which restricts our movements is illegal.”  This complication makes people think about students’ political movements as new possibility on politics. Lee Min-kyu (05,Han-Yang University) says “I do not know if this political organization worked within school before the Chun-Buk university matter, I agree that this organization poses a problem.” On the contrary, Oh Chang-min (04,Kyung-Buk National University) says” I do not agree with this activity within school, maybe these organizations lead to confusion on one issue in schools, sometimes these organizations demonstrate against policies from government and another organization, I do not understand why they struggle with opposed people.”.
Student’s political movement in school must have rationality and justice to be a fair organization. These political organizations must follow school regulation in terms of rationality, almost all school homepage sites do not refer to anything about this organization, and neither are they included in clubs. Why does it not appear on Homepage? It is because of peoples’ thinking on student’s political movement. Before fixing real democracy in Korea, many university students demonstrate against a military government, so some people has bad expression on student’s activities, it is reason why they did not appeared on school homepage.  However, it is not illegal, because school regulation does not describe about this organization. As previously stated, constitutional law is the highest thing, so every law and regulation must be based on this idea.

And then, students’ political organizations have to have transparent management in terms of justice, simply speaking, these internal organizations need to open everything from their basic thinking to the public, because almost all illegal actions start from a dark side where general people do not know the truth about something. Some students do not know there is a political organization in each school such as DLP. HCY etc. this ignorance is the most serious cause to misunderstanding internal political organizations, so DLP and HCY give efforts to advertise this organization’s purity on politics. In the cause of justice, there are policies that DLP insists on. The first thing is a national university unify-network, it means that almost every private university needs to change to a national entity in a unify-network. DLP insists that this policy will solve the academic superiority problem in local universities. The representative example is the system in France (Many universities are named 1st , 2nd , and so one. This is unlike other countries’ university systems. It is meant to diffuse school ranks, so people can not know which school is more superiority to the other school)

And they insist that the scholarship problem is more serious now than at any other time, general students work part ?time jobs and stop studying only when they lose their scholarship. About this problem, DLP proposes the solution that Government supports each university from gaining wealth taxes. Their final aim on this scholarship problem is a free-education in universities. And last thing is solving the unemployment problem.  Younger generation’s unemployment is not a passing phenomenon, after IMF (International Monetary Fund) this problem makes people consider about what is the root cause and solution? DLP proposes two solutions about this cause. Government presses large companies to hire employees from the younger generation, who are motivated to positions of power in society. The younger generation’s unemployment has had a bad influence on the nation’s economic power. They say, the quality of employment is important to solve the unemployment problem. The high percentage of unemployment among college graduates makes people understand the seriousness of this problem.
Although there are several solutions to societies problems addressed by political parties, they also have many troubles within the school organizations. The complication like students’ association in Chon-Buk University is always possible in another school.
