ISC is in Paris , France . Paris is also known as “the City of Lights ”. It is filled with many tourist attractions such as the Eiffel Tower , the Champs-Elysees, the Louvre, and many other museums and monuments. Along with these tourist attractions, there is a wide variety of restaurants available, excellent shopping districts, and a multitude of clubs. You can enjoy a variety of activities in this multicultural city. Many students take part in opera, modern dance, jazz, or sports. Paris also serves as the headquarters for many French businesses. This gives students the opportunity to tour or visit the corporate side of the country. Getting around should not be a problem. Paris has a metro system; train stations that allow regular travel in and out of the city, bus systems, and taxis.

 

Introducing ISC

The Institut Superieur du Commerce is an excellent school to discover more about our global business world. It is considered by many to be one of the top 10 business schools in France. A private, non-profit institution, Group ISC is dedicated to fostering excellence in the teaching of general and specialized management skills. Students are taught entrepreneurial skills within the context of a quality education, and by combining the four strands of this education (academic, junior enterprise activities, international experience and in-company training), they learn how to behave. (savoir, savoir faire and savoir être). It is an institution with about 1,500 students. ISC offers undergraduate and post-graduate degree programs with a total academic staff of over 300 professors, lecturers, visiting professors, and business professionals. The campus is located on the West Side of Paris, close to the major business district in one of the most beautiful areas. 

 

Academic Program

The majority of the business classes are taught in English, however you may choose to take classes in French. There is a range from marketing and retailing to management and logistics or distribution. There are a variety and specialized programs; International Business, Human Resource Management, Entrepreneurship, Financial Management, Accounting, Finance, Retailing and Competitive Marketing, Marketing Strategy, E-Business, Marketing, and Information Systems and Organization.

 

Academic Session and Period of Exchange

ISC has two sessions. One is the Fall program , October to December, and the other is the Spring program, January to May. You can study in ISC one semester or one year.  

 

Registration

First you register at CAU, and then you remit ISC‘s tuition fees.

 

Accommodation & Meals

The Erasmus Department of the ISC student organization AIESEC (Association Internationale des Etudiants en Sciences Economiques et Commerciales) and the International Exchange Coordinator of the School Melle Claire VERDIER are who you contact in regard to housing. Accommodation in Paris may be very expensive so you may want to look at the housing options in the nearby towns. It would also be a good idea to look for a furnished one. You may choose from the “foyers,” the student residence halls, apartment hotels, or you can search the online newspapers or contact a real-estate agent. The most popular accommodation is the student residence. The apartment hotels are the most expensive, where as the “foyers” are the most reasonable. Meal options differ with each housing choice. Usually, accommodation cost is from 350 to 500 Euro per a month, and meals cost another 200 Euro per month.

 

If it is decided that you are an exchange student, you can gain an ASEM-DUO scholarship.

 

CAU will dispatch a one-and-one exchange student program in January 2007. It is a good chance for CAU students, who want to study in an international business school. In addition you can acquire a diverse experience in Paris. Heaven helps those who help themselves. Try without hesitation.
