What did you do this year? Do you remember making yourself a New Year's resolution to do something, such as writing your own book? Now, this year, 2006, has ended and a New Year is drawing near. Perhaps one person kept his or her resolution and another person did not. Of course, a person who keeps his or her word is better than a person who does not. A person, who accomplishes his own plan, feels satisfaction and achievement. On the other side, a lazy person often regrets his behavior during the past year. In addition, he blames another person for his inability to complete his or her task, and never thinks about self-accusation in the matter. After that, he says, "Next year, I will live up to my resolutions in all of things." What do you think about these two people? Do you believe that the repentant person will be able to resolve his resolutions within the next year?
It is widely known that a standing pool of water will turn sour, and running water is always limpid. Like a standing pool of water, a lazy person regrets his words and remains in his present state, which is getting more rotten.
So then, how are you planning to be running water this coming year, and not a standing pooling of water? If you make a resolution for next year, 2007, is your resolution reasonable?
Most people make resolutions that are too high in the sky to be achieved within one year. This can be overwhelming and cause one to give-up and fail. As you know, many people experience failure because they believe in their ability in excess. It is an important thing to be running water. Successful people know their correct abilities.
Like this, the motive to becoming running water is you know your ability exactly and make reasonable plans. The Chung-Ang Herald wants all Chung-Ang University students to become running water and have competitive talent.
