The 14th All-Asian Intervarsity Debating Championship will take place in Korea for the first time at the Paju English Village May 6-13 under a joint sponsorship with CAU. Over 15 countries and their universities’ representatives will be joining this Championship. There will be a contest requiring the highest knowledge and research, but also a chance to share cultures among the different countries. This Championship is Asia’s largest event excluding sport events and has a 13-year long tradition and history. The 13th Competition council was held in Malaysia. Korea won against Bangladesh and grabbed a chance at the Championship. Korea has participated in this event for 4 years and considered to be one of the world’s fastest developing communities in this debate competition. Korea is now willing to show its capacity through this year’s event by holding the competition. The 2007 AIDC Organizing Committee is selling tickets to watch the championship and is also recruiting participants and volunteers for the event.
