“With every experience, you alone are painting your own canvas, thought by thought, choice by choice,” said Oprah Winfrey, a famous American actress and television talk show host. My canvas was all about the Chung-Ang Herald (CAH), all about this great press group.
It has been two and a half years. From the memories of being a Cub Reporter to Editor-in-Chief of the CAH, there have been thousands of experiences in which I could develop myself to be a true leader.
From A to Z, I had to choose and think about my decisions. I felt like it was going to go on like this forever, however, there is less than a month left in my entire Editor-in-Chief life. Last year, I was happy when I heard my voice coming from every speaker in the CAU campus (English Broadcasting Service). Then, there were days I had interviews with social VIPs. It was my reporter’s life; by the way, those are already finished and gone. Now, it is time to leave from all of this.
For the next CAH, I want to share one motto. ‘Good to Great.’ That is what the CAH needs to focus on now. A few weeks ago, the Chung-Ang Herald’s 50th anniversary was successfully celebrated. With a half century of history, it was time to show our potential, and we did it. The CAH was able to make this skeptical dream come true. It is not far from the concept of ‘BEING GREAT.’ How could I be so sure about this? It is because we are the Chung-Ang Herald. That is my answer.
I have to say thanks to Professor Lisa Wells for her endless contributions to us. It is impossible to think about our magazines without her advice. Thank you, my dear editors and reporters, I could do nothing without each editor and reporter. Thanks to our readers for having contributed so much interest in our magazine.
I will never forget my days in the Chung-Ang Herald. It was my honor to be a leader of the CAH and put myself into this great press group. Good bye… I will miss you, the Chung-Ang Herald.
