The 4th JARASUM International JAZZ Festival 2007
JARASUM International JAZZ Festival, representing Gapyeong-gun of Gyeonggi-do, enters upon the 4th this year. It will be filled up with substantial programs for the festival’s development quantitatively as well as qualitatively. You can enjoy Korean jazz musicians and foreign jazz musicians’ performances on the Jazz Stage. On the Party Stage, Korean hip-hop, soul, funky and electronic musicians are going to be performed.

SOMA Art Museum, which is operated by ‘Seoul Olympic Sports Promotion Foundation’ (SOSFO), holds an exhibition called ‘Les Nouveaux Pop’. This exhibition is a European pop art display, shows industrialized everyday life as a popular code humorously. Les Nouveaux Pop offers 50 art works, including pictures and sculptures, with chances to appreciate new aspect of pop art known as American art generally.

8th Seoul Film Festival is given at the Lotte Cinema near the Kunkuk University Station. You can watch the presenting movies through the on-line, from 6th to 16th at the film festival web site, www.senef.org. This year, an actress Yun Jin-seo is in charge of a public relations ambassadress and the opening film is ‘Mogari No Mori(The Mourning Forest)’, the grand prix prizewinning work of Cannes Film Festival this year, by Kawase Naomi. Kawase Naomi is planning to visit Korea to attend the opening ceremony.
