Vietnamese rice noodles adjusted for your taste – Phobay

Day it opened – 10th of July / Number of tables – 26(parasols to be added in near future) / The idea – 3Cs(Casual, Clean, Cheap) / No delivery service / open 11am ~ 9pm on weekdays, 11am ~ 8:30pm on weekends

“A restaurant literally made out of wood. Surprisingly clean looking for a restaurant selling Vietnamese food” – would be the first impression once inside the restaurant. All the walls separating the tables from each other were striped so that you could see through them. But as an overall review the whole restaurant looked rather stylish as a result.

A 10 minute interview
Q How much are the food in the menu overall?
A Since this is a restaurant in a university, we are maintaining the price of every menu at 15% lower than other restaurants for the student’s convenience. Unless there are dramatic circumstances, we are planning to keep the price at this rate in the future.
Q Why did you pick such an interior?
A We tried to use as many lumber-made furniture as possible to make the ‘casual dining’ look and also to follow the phobay concept. We also hung many pictures on the walls as to make a nice and clean image that students prefer rather than the Vietnam rice noodle image.
Q Who are your main customers?
A most students can’t really afford costly meals, but our restaurants are not very cheap. Since there are many cheap shops in the R&D centre, not only are there students but also some elderly people and even members of the CAU staff coming to dine. So to put it shortly, there are many different age groups.
