Fudan University

Fudan University is a widely known prestigious college, and is one of Chung-Ang’s partner universities. Fudan is located in the Yangpu district which is in the northeast part of Shanghai and takes about 20 minutes by automobile from the downtown area. Founded in 1905, Fudan covers an area of 2,440,000m2. The university possesses 134 laboratories, and 3 libraries specialized in the field of humanities, science, and medicine. It also has 10 affiliated hospitals all possessing advanced facilities.

Application
All materials required in the Admission Guide (http://www.fso.fudan.edu.cn/en/index.htm) as well as the application fees should be sent to ISO (International Students Office). The office will send a personal e-mail for confirmation after receiving all things required. Language students and other *non-degree students aren’t required to take the entrance examination, but undergraduate students have to take the entrance exam. The testing subjects are: Chinese, Math, English and either Comprehensive Test of Liberal Arts or Comprehensive Test of Science.

*Non-Degree Program (Language Program) for International Students
Professional Chinese teachers will train students in listening, speaking, reading and writing. In order to guarantee the quality, students are divided into 10 levels according to their Chinese language ability. Each class has 15 to 20 students.
-Period : Half a year~two years. Starts each February and September
-Tuition : 21000 RMB/Year, 10500 RMB/Semester
-Application Period : March 1~June 10, October 8~December 10

Life at Fudan
There is a separate International Students Dormitory in the main campus and Fenglin Campus respectively, so international students can’t live together with Chinese students. Students can also live off campus, and coordinators will help with the procedures. The dining halls do not accept cash, so students should have an e-campus card when going to the campus dining halls. A meal will usually cost 6~10 RMB. There are also many shopping malls, supermarkets, post offices, banks, restaurants, hospitals, and public transportation stations close to Fudan University.
