Protest Held by Female Student Council

During the ribbon-cutting ceremony in front of the R&D Center on September 1st, a demonstration held by the female student council was also taking place close by. The students participating in the protest demanded that the school stop impractical restructuring, and actively reflect students’ opinions. Also they stated that, due to the abandoned multi campus plan, only the students studying areas related to arts and physical education will be left at the Anseong campus. This will lead to a 23% increase in the number of students at the Seoul campus from the current 13 thousand. This can be seen as an irrational decision when there are already shortages in lecture halls, and other space problems. Towards the end of the protest, the students demanded that the school apologize to the students for abandoning the multi campus plan due to impractical planning. Also, regarding the one-sided restructuring which took place due to the multi-campus plan, there seems to have been some students who received a sort of disciplinary motion, and the protesters requested that this motion be cancelled. Lastly, the demonstrators demanded that the school make public the plans regarding the relocation of the campus, and that further plans be negotiated with the students.
