Space Controller, Death Note, Duplicator, Phoenix, Time Controller, Sixth Sense, and Mind Controller. Casts in ‘Running Man’ were each given supernatural powers. Aired on November 25th, 2011, ‘Running Man’ <Episode 74: Person with Supernatural powers> was the most talked about show for quite some time. The idea of using supernatural powers, something that does not exist in reality was enough to gain people's attention. The episode recorded 17% viewership ratings according to AGB Neilson. Compared to the average show ratings of 11%, the episode definitely grabbed people's attention. However, it was not just a well written script that called for such results, but Live Park itself also played a major role. In order to display the concept of supernatural powers, the show captured images of mysterious places that resembled the illustrations in Little Prince where a boa constrictor is digesting an elephant. It also showed various lights coming out from three dimensional artworks, stepping stone walkways where each stone releases a different sound when stepped on, and an overall environment that blurs the demarcation of reality and fantasy. All this can be found in Kintex, located in Il-san dong, Go yangsi.

Live park is known for its stunning ten-thousand square meter compound which facilitates a 4 Dimensional Studio where you can enjoy augmented reality games, projected games, and 360-degree 3D movie. Opened on December, 2011, it is the first theme park to incorporate 4D elements in all of its displays. This is the first time ever for such display in the world. James Cameron, the producer of the movie "Avatar," declared that he would make an "Avatar" theme park in Disney Land on 2015 with a budget of 400 million dollars. But, Korea was able to fulfill Cameron's dream four years earlier than his expected date, right here in Kintex. Live Park is not a place where people come individually to enjoy and experience a variety of interesting displays, but a place where people come together with their friends and families to make special memories. Coming together, in fact, is the biggest meaning of Live Park.

Live Park is composed of a total of 7 themes and 50 attractions.
When you first enter Live Park, you will be able to experience virtual reality coming to life. Your smart phones will guide you through difference missions that are given to you throughout the exhibition. At first, people might imagine a theme park at the name, "Live Park," and expect thrilling and amusing rides. However, Live Park is actually a place where people can experience the world beyond reality by leaving yourself behind and creating your own avatars. The avatars, in fact, will be enjoying the adventures. Coming to this exhibition and looking at the big scale of its execution will make you realize how much Korea has developed in its field of technology.
Prior to entering, you will receive an electronic bracelet. As soon as you put your bracelet on, a picture of your smiling face will automatically be taken on a screen to create your avatar. The bracelet allows for your avatars to appear on screen when passing various attractions. Every time it does, you can collect your pieces of the moon, which is the key mission to completing your journey. The story behind this exhibition is that a certain factory, Ender, is in charge of producing pieces of the moon using people's imagination as its driving force. However, because creativity is waning in modern day people, the factory has been unable to produce its moon pieces and has shut down. With it, the moon has been destroyed. In order for the moon to recreate itself, people who come to Live Park must gather the missing pieces and restore life in the universe.

Two shows

Hologram Performance ‘Syno Show’
Supersize hologram performance will be held with Korea’s renowned B-boy crew ‘Last For One’. The moon factory background, with the B-boys, allows reality and the virtual world to come together.

360-degree Stereoscopic Cinema ‘Meta Show’
Stereoscopic cinema is presented at a special theater, where images can be viewed from 360-degrees in any direction. It surpasses the limits of 3D movies you have seen so far. By shouting out loud enough, you can have your avatar run and change the result of the story. Such interaction and the power to change the plot is what makes the Meta Show special.

Art exhibition

Three installation artworks, Lunar Face, Lunar Cloud, and Lunar Mir represent the interactive pavilion artworks in the imaginary factory, Ender. Lunar Face allows you to experience walking on the dark side of the moon. Lunar Cloud responds to your movement and sound while Lunar Mir lets you travel through the insides of a moon tree. Art meets entertainment and these installments make visitors unfold their worlds of creativity. Artists have really pushed their limits in executing the exhibition, incorporating elements such as teleportation, air show, gardens on the moon with moon flowers, and more.

People experience many games for the first time

What is more, visitors can enjoy many games. When you step into a unique artwork called "Light Up" and wave your hands in the air, you will be able to paint the walls. In the corner, "Let's Dance," you will be able to earn scores by dancing. Other games include lighting the clouds with your motions, crossing stepping stone walkways, blowing to light up objects, and making music after you have reached the end of a maze.

One might think that 4D games are very much different from games in 3D or 2D. What keeps 4D games apart from the prior games in 2D and 3D is that we do not use only our hands and eyes, but we use our whole body. What 4D games have in common is the use of cameras. These cameras take images of our actions and display it on screen, which make us feel like we are in reality, when in fact we are in virtual reality. It is a pity, however, that not a lot of people are yet aware of what 4D technology is capable of. 4D is still an unfamiliar concept to many, and Live Park allows people to understand its concept without awkwardness.

After people have finished their experience at Live Park, they will be able to realize how well developed technology is. People might have been shocked when 3D was first introduced, never to be more surprised when "4D" came into being. We are experiencing something that our ancestors never would have expected to experience in the past. The application of 4D technology is open to many possibilities, and it has a huge potential to be applied to various sectors. Instead of using it solely as a means of display, 4D technology should be applied to CT(Culture Technology) industry and in the medical field as Animatronics (Animation + Electronics) technology. It is true that the general public may never be able to understand all the technological concepts that are being introduced. However, with the help of implementing methods such as converging entertainment and technology, and creating cultural content like that of Live Park, it may certainly have a way of raising the public's awareness on these new concepts.
