Anne Cautain and Bernadette Touloumond are two women who have decided to live in a cave located outside the town of Beaumugne located in Southern France. They suffer from hypersensitive reactions to electro-magnetic radiations. Though most of us probably live swamped amongst numerous electro-magnetic waves everyday and can’t feel a thing, these women suffer from burning headaches so painful that they can’t live in the outside world. For Anne, it all began in 2009 when Wi-Fi was installed in her workplace. She made efforts to find areas without any high-tensioned wires, antennas or Wi-Fi boxes but failed to do so. Moving to a cave was the only choice left for Anne and Bernadette joined her for the same reasons.
Anne and Bernadette are free from pain while living in the cave, but they are not able to breathe fresh air or feel the sun on their faces as much as they would like to, not mentioning grown apart from family and friends. Inside the cave, they have a bed, 2 dinner tables, a tea table and a few candles but that is basically all. There have been some other reported cases of electro-magnetic hypersensitivity or EHS, but exact causes have not been found yet.
