Freshmen who entered College of Business & Economics, College of Engineering, and College of Education had a chance to learn and enjoy University life with their seniors for 3 days. College of Business & Economics students went to Hwang-seong, College of Engineering students went to Pyeong-chang, and College of Education students went to Gang-wha Island.
College of Business and Economics
At Hwang-seong, students in College of Business & Economics had wonderful times for three days. First day, Sae-teo planning group performed on a stage to welcome freshmen. Even though they were busy preparing for Sae-teo, they took the time out of their busy schedule and practiced hard for the show. The show was successful and freshmen loved it. On second day, each department gathered to do their own program. Division of Business administration which is the largest department of Chung-Ang University, divided students into 5 different groups so that they can get intimate relationship with their peers. 5 groups of Business administration students and the other departments gathered separately and each group or department prepared different programs which is enjoyable. Professors from College of Business and Economics came to Sae-teo to introduce themselves and give a glimpse of university life to freshmen. After separate programs, all the students gathered to enjoy the last event of the day. The last event was talent show of each department. It was only a talent show, but there were lots of activities, that many people could participate. All the freshmen had to participate in the talent show. Each department and five groups of Business Administration major did their best to show each and everyone's talents. After the great talent show, a party started in the resort. Freshmen had a most chance of talking to their peers and seniors as well. The after party went all night and everyone seemed to have a lot of fun with drinking and talking with each other.
College of Engineering
At Pyeong-chang, students in College of Engineering spent their quality times with their peers for three days. On first day, some professors from College of Engineering came and talked with the freshmen. Professors not only gave the freshmen some tips about university life, but also they shared their life story so that student can learn something from it. On second day, students gathered according to their department and did a lot of activities. Freshmen participated in department's talent show, and also show their passion during track meet. As always, they learn how to mime dance. After lunch all the department participated in a track meet for College of Engineering. 7 teams competed against each other for the winning prize. After the track meet, all the students gathered in one place for the main event. Many school clubs came to Pyeong-chang so they could perform in front of freshmen in College of Engineering. Freshmen saw many school clubs performing on the stage. Famous clubs such as Da C Side, HURRA-C, Dance Pozz and etc. performed flawlessly. After that, each department showed their video clips of presenting their school lives. On that night, students gathered again according to their departments and hung out with their peers all night long.
College of Education
At Gang-wha, on first day, students in College of Education spent time with their departments' students. Each department prepared its own events so that freshmen could have fun. Funniest event was choosing the most beautiful man in a skirt for the next day's final show. Also, freshmen showed their various talents on the stage. The next day, all the freshmen gathered in one room and were separated into 12 groups for OL games. OL games are prepared by each department. English education prepared charade, Physical education prepared musical chairs, Department of Education prepared tail game and Childhood education prepared gathering game with music. In every turn, 3 groups were gathered to the same department to enjoy the games. During OL game time, not only freshmen enjoyed various games, but also they had a chance to meet lots of people who were in the different departments. After OL game and great lunch, student gathered according to their department, and spent quality time - such as learning mime, dance and etc. At night, great event prepared by College of Education started. The show started with cute and funny dance of the executive branch of college of education. The event contained a lot of activities including text game, dance off and etc. Not only freshmen but also the sophomores, juniors, and seniors seemed to enjoy the event. The highlight of the event was pageant show of men in a skirt. 'Miss winner' from each department went up to the stage and tried to seduce audience and MCs. All nominees were neck and neck but final decision was made by male MC. The winner was 'Miss English Education', followed by 'Miss Department of Education'. After the event, each department gathered around and all the students had great time with each other with lots of drinks and food. The last day, student had to leave the resort after writing rolling paper to each others. There were lots of laughs and excitements during the stay, and everyone had great time.
Even though nowadays Sae-teo is thought of lame reason for university students to gather and drink for days, Chung-Ang University's Sae-teo was more than that. During Sae-teo, freshmen became closer to each other, and they also became close to their seniors who couldn't get close if it were not this opportunity. Also, from professors, they heard many good lessons regarding their future ahead in Chung-Ang University.
