People are used to become familiar with the original person, thing, behavior and so on time pasts. We call this phenomenon, adaption. And these figures could be seen near our surroundings, often. The first example is when we have to gradually say goodbye to a girlfriend or boyfriend. The second example is when living in the troops for 2 years during military service. As the days go by, things become better. The third is an example of awareness that college freshmen possess, being ignorant of the fact that their departure from the SAT allows them to be free. Everything becomes more natural day by day.
Last March students felt awkward when going to school after taking a rest during Winter vacation. Many of them were no longer students who study and take exams. Some of them would work for a part-time job, take a trip, or hang out with friends. However, it seems that most students are accustomed to the campus life and everything is finally finding its place after a month. The behaviors of students who mix with their peer group in college, and get ready for mid-term examas they were high-school students, can be also the relevant cases.
But, the indifferent action toward the wrong situation or issues deserved to be criticized must be rejected in the life in ease. Certainly it is possible that people cannot always be aware of the harmful effects, their inattentive attitudes should be also rejected. This month there will be the 4.11 general election. Unless voting or concerning for the candidates, it has something in common with the action of indifference. Some people may have no interest toward them thinking their influence is insignificant., But it is clearly wrong decision because of the frequent bad articles we faced for the members of the National Assembly and politicians.
Anyway, there are many examples of bad adaptation among the unsaid. It can be applied to school newspapers too. Though Chung-Ang Herald seems to be running smoothly, it might be a problem if students do not read it or are not interested. CAU students need to be the spectators of The Chung-Ang Herald, and The Chung-Ang Herald must run the show and think ahead as it is the natural responsibility of media.
