Pressure is to university student what air is to human beings, we can't see it, touch it, or smell it, but it is inevitably with us everywhere, in my opinion, we can't live without pressure just like we can't breath without air.

As for a Chinese university student, I absolutely have some indescribable pressures. As everyone knows, China has the largest population in the world, and that means that we unavoidably have the most university undergraduates in the world. Consequently, the competition for a good job is unthinkably fierce, but we have no choice but to study extremely hard. Most Chinese university students have to take all kinds of exams, such as TOEIC, TOEFL, and so on. Most of us even have to choose a double major so that we have more advantages when we are looking for a job. Taking my home university as an example, Xiamen University is one of the most prestigious universities in China. Students at my home university are almost second top students in China. We always study in the library for the whole day and even when we come back to the dorm, our roommates are busy with their work. Sometimes I feel so tired after a day's study, but when I see my roommates still working, I feel stressed out. Sometimes they even work while I am lying in bed and I feel so stressed out so that I can't fall asleep. However, in reality, it proves that having too much pressure is not a good thing at all. With too much stress, I can’t achieve the goal I expect to reach, and I don’t have a good time at all.

Now I have a brand-new perspective about pressure, that is, at first, we have to admit that pressure is inevitable, no matter how much we want to avoid it. Also, we have to have a clear consciousness that we are too young, that if we have everything we want now, we won’t have anything to do for the rest of our lives. Therefore, we should enjoy the process of fighting for our future rather than be a slave of life.
