Is skipping meals the best way to lose weight?
The desire to be thin is growing especially for woman. They are obsessed with thinness and excessive weight loss. How many people try to lose weight? In the United States, 33~40% of adult women and 20~24% of adult men try to lose weight. According to research, two–thirds of people who lose 10% of their body will be back to their original weight again in one year. Many people think that skipping meals is the fastest way to lose weight. What is the effect of repetitive starving? Weight loss by skipping meals is very effective in the short term. Soon you can see your original weight because of restoration of weight cycling. The circulation of body weight affects metabolism to facilitate weight gain and weight loss. Low calorie intake can have adverse effects, such as the falling-out of hair.
Skipping meals could be one of the worst ways to lose weight. When you skip a meal, your body starts to wonder why it is not getting any food and it will go into starvation mode. Then it reacts by slowing down your metabolism, which means slower weight loss. Besides, not eating will also give you a headache and make you feel dizzy or sleepy. Eat meals and exercise as much as you can.

Seasonal Fruit
Fiber, water, vitamins, and sugars are generally high in fruits and they make our cells healthy for a long time and prevent disease. Regular consumption of fruit is associated with reduced risks of cancer, cardiovascular disease, stroke, Alzheimer disease, cataracts, and some of the functional declines associated with aging. Diets including a sufficient amount of potassium from fruits and vegetables also help reduce the chance of developing kidney stones and may help reduce the effects of bone-loss. Fruits are also low in calories, which can help lower one’s calorie intake as part of a weight-loss diet. Of course, fruits are available virtually every month of the year and they are imported to Korea often. However, they have to endure a long journey to be imported. Since this takes a long time, many preservatives are added to them. It is time to stop buying foods from everywhere and every season. Choose only seasonal and preferably organic fruit and seasonal vegetables, which are locally produced.

First impression
In psychology, there is something called the Primacy Effect. The information inserted first gives more impact than the last. This is the reason why first impressions are important. It is scientifically proven that we get the first impression of a person in the first few seconds. Of course, the fact is that the first impression is always made by people’s looks. And changing first impressions is definitely difficult as you know, but we can change a bad first impression to good one with a little effort.
What should we do to make a good first impression? Clothing is vital, since we judge people from their clothing. Good first impressions require proper appearance. You should dress properly and make an impression of a serious, mature, and self-confident person. If it is your first blind date, show a bit of your own style. Be careful not to overdo it though. A person will make up his or her mind whether he or she wants to see that person again, whether he or she could be his or hers partner in relationship, or just a friend. Many essential and small decisions are made by those first few seconds. Do not blame your original look thinking that you cannot change, when you haven’t even made an effort. Above all, believe in yourself and be an optimist about everything you do.

*Primacy effect: in psychology and sociology, primacy effect is a cognitive bias that results in a subject recalling primary information presented better than information presented later on. For example, a subject who reads a sufficiently long list of words is more likely to remember words in beginning than words in the middle.
