What will happen if a bionic man who looked like a normal man, had organs in the body and even blood similar to those of human is created? The story which is likely coming only from movies is becoming a reality.

The most humanlike bionic man with an artificial heart, lungs, and more was created in Britain. The name of bionic man is Rex. Bionics experts including Bertolt Meyor, a Swiss psychologist, used cutting-edge technology and spent $1 million to create Rex. Rex’s face was modeled after Bertolt Meyer. With no hands of his own, he uses hands like Rex’s which feel exactly the same and comfortable as real ones. Rex can climb mountains, move his fingers independently, and even pick things up or twist them. Rex even has an iris, a retinal function to distinguish things, and artificial cochlea to listen. Rex has all organs except a digestive tract. To be amazed, Rex’s artificial heart and bronchial tubes have been transplanted to patients. Despite all the research and development, Rex is not perfect.

Creating Rex will have a positive effect on the development of science and medicine field. However, the cost of creating a bionic man and value conflicts between human beings and bionic men might confuse us. We should develop well concerning two sides of bionic man.
