On March 12th at 4 p.m. an exhibition called 'SPRING' had its opening ceremony in Gyeomjae Jungseon Memorial Hall. Gyeomjae Jungseon is a person who was in office as a governor during the Joseon Dynasty era. He left a number of immortal masterpieces in Gangseo, which was called Yangcheon hyun during the Joseon Dynasty period. His masterpieces included; 'Gyeong-gyo myung-seung chirp' and 'Yang-cheon pal-gyeong chirp'. Many young artists should open up to the new creative world of art, reviving the soul of his drawing and intelligence. Therefore, the purpose of the exhibition is to provide lots of young artists, who have infinite possibilities, with opportunities so that they can feature their performances. There are four parts to the exhibition; <Chung-Ang University>, <Seoul National University>, <Hongik University> and <Ewha Womans University>. Above all, many artworks from the department of Western painting at Chung-Ang University are notable. And not only from university graduates, but professors also play important roles in putting their works into the exhibition.
           Let's discuss a painting which many people were impressed with. The first painting is 'Mixed media on canvas' by Professor Kang Tai-woong. To begin with, you may be under the illusion that there are leaves dripping to the ground, but if you look carefully you will come to realize it expresses the media's image. Kang Tai-woong has held private exhibitions about 26 times from 1980 to 2013. Also, he is now working as a professor who is in charge of lectures in the art and design department at Chung-Ang University.
           'SPRING', which continues until the 23rd on March, makes visitors feel ardor and challenges their spirit. Furthermore, the exhibition was very important to young artists, allowing them to really show their artistic value.
