Some students who have felt that their major does not actually fit with what they want to do in the future can consider changing it. Chung-Ang University offers an opportunity to change majors, after the second or third year. The qualification is having over 2.0 credits including summer and winter session grades. Also, students should have completed over 80% of settled credits in the relevant academic year. In addition, temporarily absent students can also apply to change majors if they plan to return to school. After they gain permission, students should register within a fixed period, but they are then unable to cancel after registration.

Furthermore, here are some changes in the recruitment of changing majors starting from 2016. First, there’s an addition in qualification. Students should get official English grades that fit graduation approval criteria of the applying college. Next, the selection method has been simplified so that English or performance tests have been deleted. From now on, students are evaluated only by credit and an interview in the relevant department. The way of interview is autonomous, and varies in different departments. Also, students can apply to any major from 2016. Until now, CAU has only accepted third-year students to change major in the same affiliation. Other aspects of changing majors are the same and you should check the changes carefully if you are considering changing your major.
