It is obvious that everyone has heard of this name once in his or her lifetime: Jane Goodall! Yes, right. That's her, someone whom we expected. She is an environmentalist and a zoologist and a chimpanzee researcher. She is also a legend in the world of environmental movements who has made extreme efforts in order to protect and preserve our earth environment and to save endangered animals. Jane Goodall, who makes an effort for the environment and loves animals more than anybody, is still struggling for our earth.

Jane Goodall has loved animals since childhood, and she has dreamed of coexistent life with animals in Africa since she was 10years old. As she grew up and went to Africa, she began to research chimpanzees. Jane made a surprising discovery about chimpanzees through her extraordinary observation and bonds with them. In 1960, she found out that chimpanzees eat white ants using branches after they have removed the leaves. They put the branches into tunnels and wait for the white ants to stick to the branches and then eat them. It was a shocking discovery that was against people's belief at that time, which was that only human beings could use tools. In addition, she figured out the fact that chimpanzees could eat meat, as well as vegetables and fruit in that same year. Finally, she became an international chimpanzee research authority via various research and environmental movements since she lived over 40years together with wild chimpanzees. Additionally, Jane established the Jane Goodall Institute working as an environmentalist.

Jane Goodall; She dedicated her whole life to environmental movements and to animal research. Her passion and love for animals is more outstanding than any other in the world. We should take time to think about nature again and practice one-by-one for the earth through her story. We should think deeply that she is a real guardian of earth all over the world.
