If anyone asked me, “How was CAH (Chung-Ang Herald)?”, I would definitely say that it has been my everything for the past 2 ½ years of my university life. This journey first began my first semester at CAU as a freshman, almost five semesters has passed with no breaks in between, and now the end is right around the corner. Throughout my time at CAH, I had the opportunity to meet various people and learn valuable lessons that has helped me develop as a person and broaden my intellectual horizon.
Some of my acquaintances actually used to ask me “How’s working as the editor-in-chief of CAH?” On each occasion, even though the question itself was not diffcult to answer, I instantly responded with the habitual line of mine, “Wait a second…” I had to take some time to really ponder over it, as if it was an answer that constantly changed over time yet could not be explained in words. Frankly speaking, looking back upon the past I think I had, more or less, a love-hate relationship with CAH. Of course, I made some mistakes here and there and was scolded, on occasions by CAH Seniors. However, one thing I’m sure of is that by initially working as a reporter then an editor, I became mentally stronger, more skilled at my work, and finally realized what the quote “If you never try, you’ll never know” entailed.
