Currently, there is a serious problem in Korea. It is the university ranking system. South Korea's school-based system leads to the "academic-only" focus on entering only the highest ranked universities, which obscures the personality of students and causes them to think poorly. Ultimately, this school system is the result of college rankings, so South Korea should stop ranking universities and standardize universities to stop excessive and wasteful competition from childhood.
First, university standardization will serve as a stepping stone to stop the wasteful competition within a country and lead to enhanced competition with the world. Until now, Korean students have grown up with the idea of overcoming internal competition without seeing the outside world. As a result, after going to college, they lose their motivation and could not cultivate their talent. However, in a university-standardized society, everyone will be able to work together to build up their power against the world. Second, it will be able to resolve educational imbalances between universities in Seoul and other parts of Korea. The Republic of Korea has a deformed condition in which all amenities are concentrated in Seoul. In this situation, the rankings of universities around Seoul continue to disproportionately favor local students. The continuation of this situation will create a 'Seoul Republic' and promote the inefficient use of the country’s resources. Finally, the great confusion about the fear of standardization will not persist. Many people say that a college leveling would reduce students’ overall competitiveness and cause confusion. However, European countries like France still produce more competitive talent than Korea, even though they have achieved a standardized university system. Moreover, it turned out that there were a lot of worries in the implementation of the standardization of high schools in the past, but it was groundless.

The goal of learning in Korea should no longer be college admission. The purpose of learning should be to realize oneself and to solve academic curiosity. With no real learning, Korea will inevitably fall behind on the world stage. College standardization will change Korean education, so it will soon become a good system for nurturing talent.
