In September, many students restlessly began to prepare for their employment. Chung-Ang University (CAU) also has its own facility to help students in their efforts—the Human Resources Development Institute (HRDI). The HRDI provides various programs for employment like career education, resume clinics, and employment consulting. Whenever a new semester begins, there have always been too many students applying for the employment programs whereas there has been only one advisor in the Seoul campus. In short, the HRDI had been suffering from a serious labor shortage; however, new members have been added recently to both Seoul and Anseong—respectively three and two advisors. In specific, Kim Myung-hee, Yang Hee-sun and Park Si-hye are the new members in Seoul’s HRDI while Choi Sun-Yong and Park Mi-hee will be the new faces at Anseong campus. With the additional advisors, the HRDI is expected to be able to facilitate better in the near future. Yet, CAU students are still recommended to apply for the provided programs during vacations. Even with the new advisors, the competition for employment consulting will probably be difficult at the beginning of the semester. Applying for consulting programs can be done through the Rainbow System. Remember that the consulting is open to freshmen and sophomores as well as those who are about to graduate. The schedule for consultations opens at 10am each Thursday for the following week.
