On October 31st, the 'Seoul Campustown Festival 2019' was held at Chung-Ang University's Centennial Hall. The Seoul Metropolitan Government said they will expand the "Seoul Campustown Project" to 48 universities in the city next year and expand it to foster more than 500 teams on a permanent basis. The Seoul Campustown Project is a project to regenerate a university district that has become a "job-oriented creator" by combining various human, physical and intellectual resources held by universities with public support from the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Seoul Cultural Foundation. And the Seoul Campustown Festival 2019 is part of this project.

At the festival held at Chung-Ang University's Seoul campus, the present and future of the campus town youth start-ups could be seen at the same time. At the start-up D.I.Y. Zone, 174 youth start-up teams from 37 universities participated, and one could check out the start-up idea in various fields. In the pitching competition, 18 of the 99 teams won the finals, while six were awarded through on-site presentation reviews. Three universities, Korea University, Kwangwoon University, and Chung-Ang University held a competition to advance the right to move into a new business space. It was a good opportunity to get a glimpse of the diverse and unique ideas of many students to learn the real world of youth startups.
