It is time to stop to be complicated in our routine daily life. We are living in a flood of information era, with information-blocking the flow of our thoughts. However, we are now slightly changing. Through mass media and magazines, it is easy to understand that there has been a huge change in electric goods and services. ‘Simplicity’ would be the best word for this new model now. Unlike machinery age, the electric world is starting to become simple, human like changing world. There are many products somehow now looking to be related to simplicity.

IPOD has been a legend in market. Indeed, we cannot voice-record with Ipod. It is very different from most Korean mp3 players that have an on voice-record function. However, this simple-looking electronic music device became the world best selling mp3. One of Ipod users in the U.S. said about Ipod that “Everything is easy, clearly laid out for the user, and accessible to everyone.” By selling Ipod, Apple Company has survive in the electronic market.


If you are a Korean, having interest on cellular phone, you definitely know about ‘Chocolate phone.’ LG Electronics Company launched this black-colored cellular phone in November 2005, and took a record of 1000 phone selling per day. The ‘Chocolate phone,’ comparing to other phones in the market, does not have a good function on picturing. However, it was much simpler with a good design, and it became a best selling phone when it came in to the market. This was how chocolate phone became famous among other cellular phones in Korean market.
There is a famous online racing game in Korea. It is called ‘Cart rider.’ The game looks like cartoons, far from the reality. Until ‘Cart-Rider’ became famous, computer-racing game was believed to have a detailed images and resemble  a real situation. However, after one year the game ‘Cart-Rider’ became public, there were 12 million Koreans playing online the game called ‘Cart-Rider.’ It is a simple look online racing game produced by company ‘Nexon.’ It makes the racing game look simpler and emphasizes more on the competitive spirit. Indeed, there are only four keys to play one game with other total seven players. It is simple, easy, and interesting.
In 2003, fall, Cannon digital camera EOS 300D SLR became an explosion of camera contribution through the market. At that time, there were many people’s needs but Cannon reduced its product price by lower than one million WON. As a result, Cannon 30D Camera became a publicized. In addition, now there are many cameras  cost fewer than one million WON because of CANNON 30D. This is how the camera stated to become popular and this is how the camera became to live its time.


  Philips, one of the largest electronics companies in the world, also tries to make a simple electric product and develop electric goods such as a snow globe that holds a new way to treasure your past, a light bulb that changes color with your touch, a garden that takes care of itself and a mirror that you can communicate. These thoughts are extraordinary and interesting innovations electronic goods.


LG economic researchers said, “Simple is not always making you success. What is more important is that whether you have the ability of picking the core value on customer needs.” One of the most popular internet search engines is Google. When you go to Google page, you don’t find any advertisements. It makes you think only one purpose, ‘search’. Unlike yahoo and msn, Google cut off the additional banners and icons for making itself much simpler. Simplicity makes Google to super fast growing company. As of 2005, Google's Ad Words advertising program generated nearly all of Google's income. As rigth now Google is the largest Internet search company in the world.

In the concept of marketing, it is possible to think there are marketing reasons for new product success. There are six points, which are significant point of difference, complete market product definition, market attractiveness, rich execution of the marketing mix, rich synergy or fit with company’s manufacturing and/or marketing ability, and good timing. The companies that already explained satisfy that they are following the marketing reasons to success. In addition, it is all happening right now that ‘simplicity’ being centered and described as the most important.

Following Wikipedia, an international web-based encyclopedia, simplicity means the property, condition, or quality of being simple or un-combined. It often denotes beauty, purity, or clarity. Simple things are usually easier to explain and understand than complicated ones. As it already referred in this paragraph, simplicity could also means the beauty. Simple is worth more than just an art. In addition, we contact the simplicity through experiencing the electric goods in our daily lives.
Lee Yong Chan, CEO of advertising company Lee & DDB, threw five oranges and said “When we try to give too many messages to customers, they will not get even one message.” From this reason, it is more important to subtract than to add. It is essential for us to concentrate on the core value of each electric goods rather than just put more functions as much as the other competitors do.

Albert Einstein said, ‘Things should be made as simple as possible,’ and Leonardo DaVinci said, ‘Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.’ These are exactly right and still affecting in the 21st century modern industries. Let us be simpler and enjoy the changing trend of electric world.
