Chung-Ang University Mass Communication (CMC) held the fifth Anniversary of the Shift U Film Festival at the beginning of August.
The Shift U Film Festival is a unique name. Shift comes from the shift key on the computer keyboard, and it cannot function alone. It works in various ways with other keys. It is representative of the VJ mind set, because it pursues right amateur video culture with this festival . The U means youth and you. This is meant to express that the hero or heroin in a movie is also you. This festival has endeavored to create a desirable and creative film culture since 2002, the first festival.
This year’s motto for the film festival is “Fantasy for Sale”. This motto of the Shift U Film Festival is about people’s will, that any one can express their imagination and dreams freely. 
The Shift U Film Festival lasted until August 10. CMC will give Chung-Ang University students and staff previews on September 12 and 13 in CAU Heukseok Campus and Yongsan I-park Mall Outdoor Event Hall.  The awards ceremony will take place on September 14 at the CAU Art Center. The ceremony will be divided into two parts, one for adults and one for teenagers.
