In England, there are unique benches in the park. Old ones as well as new ones, they have names on the back, like ‘For John T. Mickel’. This is a kind of funeral culture. If a family member dies, the friends or family members will buy a bench, inscribe the dead persons name on the back of the bench, and put it in park for other to enjoy a brief rest in remembrance of the person, who passed away. Then they propitiate the soul of the dead person with all the people, who sit down on the bench.
