Most areas in Seohyeon-dong are hill areas. With Yuldong Park and Seohyeon Reservoir, there is beautiful scenery.

How to get there? Starting from Heukseok Station, CAH took off at Express terminal station to transfer to line 3. Then, CAH transferred to Bundang line at Dogok station. It took about an hour to get to Seohyeon station.
Aladdin Second-Hand Bookstore
Aladdin second-hand bookstore Bundang branch brings in more than a thousand second-hand books in a day. Not only domestic books but also international books, embracing various genres, can be bought at a cheap price. Book purchasing and selling are possible, so if you have out-dated books, you can sell them. Aladdin second-hand bookstore has many branches throughout the country; Gangnam, Jongno, Shinchon, Busan and Bundang branch. There is also an online bookstore, www.aladin.co.kr.
When CAH visited the bookstore, it was crowded with many people due to the fact that it provides excellent books with reasonable prices and quality.
- Come out from exit 5 of Seohyeon station and walk 250m, heading to Bundang Ward Office.

Yuldong Park
When Bundang new town was developing, Yuldong Park was also built as part of Bundang reservoir. The park was opened at August, 1999 and is 800,000 pyeong including a lake, grass field, and hill areas. It emphasis the beauty of nature and possess many facilities and pleasant areas. There are lots of restaurants and cafés near the park where people can take a rest. The park name, Yuldong, come from the area where chestnuts are grown.
The first impression CAH got from the park was that it was extremely huge. Also, the scenery was gorgeous with lake in the middle and road and trees surrounding it.
Bicycle road: There is a reservoir inside the park. The bicycle road and trail, about 2.5km, are formed around the reservoir. They are separated from each other so bicycles cannot enter the trail.
Bungee jump: A bungee jump (height 45m) is located near the reservoir. You can enjoy the thrill bungee jump brings. Bungee experts and technicians maximize the safety of the bungee jump by checking it frequently. It uses the safety code from New Zealand where Bungee jumping originated. Since bungee jump is done while facing the lake, you can have fun and feel the nature at the same time. All the profits are reinvested to the town and its citizens. Sculpture Park: There is a sculpture park, right next to the bungee jump. Various kinds of sculptures are exhibited. CAH took some photos of it. You can also take photos with the sculptures. There are 8 permanent, 17 yearly, and 6 temporary invited-artist pieces exhibited. They are nature friendly sculptures.
Book Theme Park: It is a park with book theme. This is the first time in Korea. The park breaks the original image of a library and states a new definition of it. The park enhances one’s imagination and desire to read books.
Foot acupressure yard: Have you ever done foot acupressure which smoothes blood circulation? If you have not, here is a chance to try it. Take off your shoes and just start walking! It might hurt a little bit but do not worry. It means you are getting healthier.
- Take 119, 1500-2, 1005-5, 3, 22, 17, 3-1 bus near Seohyeon station, it will take about 15 to 20 minutes.

Sodamjung
Sodamjung is a Korean restaurant. CAH ordered the special lunch set. Bulgogi Salad, Japchae, Jeon and many other Korean traditional foods were served. The serving menu changes a bit from time to time. However, CAH will bet the taste is great! The price is 12,000 won. The special lunch set was cheaper than the other restaurants nearby.

Wallpaper
Wallpaper is a café near Yuldong Park. Its menu contains various kinds of dishes and desserts from pizza and pasta to cake and patbingsu, red bean sherbet. CAH tried green tea patbingsu which is usually made of sweetened red beans, green tea ice, green tea ice cream, and toppings like rice cake. However, green tea patbingsu with Wallpaper’s special recipe is different from the others. It does not have sweetened red beans but still tastes good. Those who do not like or are unfamiliar with red beans can try it.
There is a small lake at the back of the café and a walking road around it. If you are done with your meal, you can enjoy the scenery or take a walk.
- Tips to eat patbingsu: Mix it top to bottom. It might look messy but the taste will be wonderful.
