Musical The Drawing Musical ‘Goghs’ is the first musical to include live drawing performances. It is this unfamiliar genre that attracts audiences with curiosity and excitement. This kind of new performance genre is called “Draform”, which is an abbreviation of the words drawing, drama and performance art. We can experience more of a sense of realism that cannot be offered from other more ordinary musicals. Play “The Pilgrim’s Progress” is a work of Christian literature, originally composed in the 17th century, which is still a best seller in our contemporary society. Now it has been re-introduced to us as a play. There are two parts in the play, but the two different parts are linked to each other and go together as a unified whole. The story is about the progress of the believer’s life and struggles. Through this play, audiences can understand the spiritual significance of the depictions in the story. Exhibition PLATEAU, Samsung Museum of Art is presenting a solo exhibition of the artist Jung Yeon-doo, entitled “Spectacle in Perspective”. He is acknowledged as one of the best contemporary artists in Korea. This exhibition focuses on the everyday lives of ordinary people showing the artist’s interest towards society. Jung’s work shows signs of trying to engage with society by emphasizing the long process of collaboration with a variety of people from different backgrounds. His work involves subjects about people’s dreams, wishes and passions, convincing the audience that what we can’t see is what we should be seeking for. Movie “Le Week-End” is a 2013 British drama film directed by Roger Michell and written by Hanif Kureishi. The story goes like this. Nick and Meg Burrows is a married couple from Birmingham, both advanced in age and tension. They start a trip to the place they went on a honeymoon to, Paris, France, three decades ago to celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary. With the hope to rejuvenate them during the trip, takes a trip without any planned schedule. For the second time they visit Paris, everything has changed, but not themselves. They realize that all the great memories they have are from the times they have spent together. This movie can be depicted as a charming, sensitive and honest romance that people eventually fall into and share the emotions of the characters.
