From August 30th to September 1st, there was a Culture Industry course lecture. It was one in the series of 2017 Da Vinci Career Achievement lessons which students could register for through the Rainbow System (http://rainbow.cau.ac.kr). In Building 310, Room 201, three lectures were held and the topic was “Playing a Leading Role in Content Production in the Cultural Industrialization Era.” On August 30th, CBS FM Production Designer Kim Se-kwang lectured in front of a number of students. As a content producer, he talked about how to prepare to become a PD. Nowadays, the content era has extended to open space beyond closed frames. He gave advice to students who are preparing to become PDs and spoke with total sincerity. On August 31st, a representative of Music Label JSEM, Lee Jong-sung who is also an adjunct professor at Seokyeong University gave a lecture. The title was “Music Business A to Z” and he talked about the current music business and also gave substantial advice to people who want to get into this field. The last day, on September 1st, Kiwi Media Group Content Business Director Han Jong-su gave a lecture about the necessary to look into the transformation of entertainment companies. They are now making content beyond the exploration and fosterage of the artists. Since many CAU students are interested in becoming PDs and entering the entertainment fields, these kinds of non-academic subject activities would be beneficial and helpful when they prepare and build up for their future careers.
