On July 23rd, Damir Kušen from the Croatian Embassy visited Chung-Ang University Seoul campus. The event was held to welcome him and also celebrate the new designation of Chung-Ang University Zagreb King Sejong Institute (KSI). The KSI is an educational institute that promotes Korean language and culture around the world. There are 213 institutes in 76 countries worldwide run by the KSI Foundation. At the event, the Director of International Affairs Kwon Hyung-il, the Director of Social Education Choi Chang-bum, and the Chairman of the Committee on Library and Information Policy Shin Ki-nam were among those who attended. The President of the Chung-Ang University Park Sang-gue said that with the opening of the Zagreb KSI, cooperation between Chung-Ang University and Croatia has begun. He also mentioned that Croatia and Chung-Ang University will have a good partnership through this opportunity. The Chairman of the KSI Foundation Kang Hyoun-hwa talked about the growing curiosity of and interest in Korean culture in Croatia these days. She also said that she will support both Chung-Ang University and Zagreb University materially and mentally so that the curiosity can lead to affection for Korea. CAH hopes that by the designation of CAU Zagreb KSI, not only the relationship between Chung-Ang University and Croatia but also the relationship between Korea and Croatia will continue to develop positively.
