This year, many students are unable to go to school because of COVID-19. High school students could not do their school schedules ordinarily. Reflecting on this situation, Chung-Ang University has changed its admission guideline for next year. First, to ease the burden of students, the university will give a full score to all applicants for their volunteer activity in rolling admissions. Besides, the transcripts of students' school records are evaluated considering difficulties in-school educational activities. Second, there has been a change in the performance test. In the special admission for student-athletes, the university alleviates the standards of application and progresses performance tests with a basic skill test for each position or practice game. The School of Performing Arts and Media and a Department of TV Broadcasting & Entertainment will evaluate through video instead of face-to-face evaluation. The School of Fine Art also will take a test with photos. To prevent the spread of COVID-19, the essay test, which was conducted usually in two periods from December 12th to 13th, will progress to the third period. Lastly, in 2021, a new Department of AI at the College of Computer Science & Software and a Department of high-tech material engineering at the College of Engineering will be established. In the Department of AI, students will study AI basic subjects and AI-based convergence subjects. In the Department of high-tech material engineering, students will learn primary subjects such as chemistry and secondary subjects such as electrochemistry
