The online mentoring program 'The Bareun Chung-Ang Guide' was held from September 16th to October 16th. All new students are having difficulty adjusting to school life as non-face-to-face classes continue. Therefore, the program provides opportunities to get directive support on school life for new students in 2020. A demand for volunteer work continues to increase, but face-to-face educational volunteer work has become difficult due to COVID-19 this year. ‘Syn-,' student council in Chung-Ang University Seoul Campus, said it hosted a new online mentoring program in the school to help improve the latest situation. Through this program, mentees can get advice about school life, extracurricular activities. They also can study English and their major or liberal arts classes together. Mentors can get 30 hours of volunteer work and can receive credit for their volunteer work. Each week, students should progress mentoring through Zoom, Skype, or similar programs, and mentors write mentoring logs. The student council of the Seoul Campus said it plans to expand the program to the Anseong Campus, after confirming its effectiveness a month-long running. With 'The Bareun Chung-Ang Guide,' students could do volunteer work, and new students in 2020 could get help in school life.
