In September 2020, at Chung-Ang University, a new non-subject mileage system was established. The non-subject mileage system is a system that grants scholarship ‘mileage’ if you complete a non-subject program registered in the Rainbow System. The mileage earned depends on payment standards by programs. Also, some programs such as service or practice with credits and simple event-participating programs do not give the mileage. Therefore, students should check the mileage points of the comparative programs that they plan to apply to. The criteria for calculating mileage scores are into four categories: L (Learn), E (Experience), A (Advance), and P (Perform). In detail, it is divided into short, medium, and long term. The method of receiving mileage is first, apply for a non-subject program. Then, when you finish the program, the supervision department will complete the program, and the mileage will be automatically granted. Once you earn miles above a certain amount, you can get a scholarship. The recipients are those ① who are enrolled in 1st to 4th year undergraduate programs, ② those who participated in diagnosing Da Vinci core competencies in their second year, and ③ those who participate in two or more types of three non-subject learning systems (L, E, A, P). Only those who satisfy all three conditions can get the scholarship. There are two types of scholarships. At this time, a scholarship of type I. will deduct the mileage. Students can receive scholarships once per school year. The reason for the introduction of the mileage system is to encourage active students who seek careers and sincerely strive for self-development, said the Center for Teaching & Learning (CTL), Chung-Ang University.
