Starting in March 2021, new applications for the 40 Humanity Book Reading Program and Reading Community Programs closed for a while. On 18th March, Seoul Campus Central Library resumed the Reading Program again. According to the Seoul Campus Central Library, they said they resumed the existing program to fill blank before starting the new reading program. They are preparing a new reading program, "Chung-Ang University Classical Reading Academy - On the Shoulder of Classical Scholars." The program plans to begin in September and replace existing reading programs such as "40 Humanities Books," "Reading Community," and "Book Report Competition." The Central Library of Seoul Campus said that they will replace some reading programs to strengthen the merits of existing reading programs and to refine some weaknesses. The Central Library of Seoul Campus, Chung-Ang University said they will notify about reading programs in Chung-Ang Reading Portal(https://book.cau.ac.kr/). The Chung-Ang Reading Portal’s "Addicted" Program is a reading program conducted by the Central Library to make reading a habit and establish reading as a university culture. The Reading Community Program is a program where students select and read books for discussion. Then, the students discuss what they have read at least once a month. 40 Humanity Book Reading Program is a program that recommends students to read more than 40 books of humanities selected by the university and write a book report on each before they graduate. Through this program, students could get a reading certificate, and students also could be issued a reading portfolio when they graduate.
