"The 1st Start-up Fusion Idea Contest: Sustainable Community Formation in the Post-COVID Era (Local Community: Dongjak-gu)" was held. The 63rd Student Council of Chung-Ang University Seoul Campus, Oneul, hosted the contest. The Leaders in INdustry-university Cooperation (LINC+), the Ministry of Education, the National Research Foundation of Korea, and the Seoul Business Agency all co-sponsored the contest. All Chung-Ang University students could apply for the contest. Applicants needed to be a team of no more than five members, and they need to have members with more than two majors in one team. There are two parts to the application. The first is a "Start-up Connection," and the second is an "Idea Connection." Besides, applicants have to fuse two fields from: business, economy, education, social, IT, technology, services, environment, architecture, medical health, or others. The application period for the contest was from March 26th to April 11th. During that time, LINC+ hosted online pre-training. From April 26th to May 3rd, participants submitted their proposals and summaries. The presenters will be selected from May 4th to May 11th. On May 21st, participants will present their ideas and progress feedback and mentoring by teams. Excellent ideas will connect the start-up club. Judges will screen applicants based on proposals and creative works during the first screening. They will screen based on the presentations made on May 21st during the second screening. Non-face-to-face presentations can be replaced online depending on the COVID-19 situation. The winner will be awarded the grand prize with a certificate and prize money in the name of the president of Chung-Ang University. They also provided the benefit to connect the program to support the LINC+ project team at Chung-Ang University.
