The fall semester has begun. September is also the month of the beginning for the CAH. The 67th reporters’ term ended with the spring semester, and the 68th reporters have begun to write articles starting with this September issue. I would like to express my gratitude to our 68th reporters, who will be responsible for the next year of the CAH.

At the same time as we face a new beginning, we think about where the CAH stands as a university newspaper. Many people are now more familiar with images than text, and screens than paper. This change can be said to be a challenge for all press published on paper. In fact, many media organizations are also creating a new department that makes short card news or videos under the name of "New Media." I’m embarrassed to admit it as a university newspaper reporter, but it is true that I am also more comfortable with video than text. Such advances in digital media have literally created an era of 'new' media. The CAH also could not avoid this change. We have started making card news since last year, and we are still thinking about ways to make it easy for students to access our articles. In addition, the continuous non-face-to-face situation at CAU, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, is also changing our situation. Rather than newspapers distributed throughout the campus, we are gradually depending on our website where online articles are uploaded for easy access. The editorial meeting used to be held at the CAH office in Building 310 every month has long been replaced by Zoom. The external environment is making things hard for everyone, but we must be more faithful to our original roles than ever in this kind of situation. Founded in 1957, the CAH was founded with a high goal to promote the educational spirit of Chung-Ang University by developing students' proficiency and interest in English. In addition, the CAH has played a specific role as a bridge for foreign professors and international students. In fact, we always have a great sense of responsibility for writing under the name of Chung-Ang University. Our biggest task, which remains unchanged, is to fill each issue of the CAH with good articles. We will do our best to ensure that the results of our efforts meet the purpose of the CAH's publication. The CAH publishes various articles ranging from campus and international issues to Korean society and culture. We don't know exactly who you are reading this, but we are confident that you’ll be able to find beneficial and interesting articles through the CAH. We hope that our articles will be known to more people and, furthermore, will provide pleasure and help to someone. Thank you for reading our September issue. As you read this, our reporters and editors are already busy writing articles for the October issue. In October, we will visit you with more informative and interesting articles. Thank you always, readers.
