Chung-Ang university (CAU) MakerSpace have successfully hosted one-day experience class with the theme of Korean holiday, Chuseok. MakerSpace have hosted two kinds of programs on this year’s Chuseok season. Each Program had a theme to make Korean traditional kitchenware, which stage props like rice spatula and turner. The program took place on September 7th, 9th, 14th, and 16th. Each class took 2 hours and these whole classes required reservation entry. Any member of CAU was able to participate in this program and the level of difficulty was low. Therefore, even the beginners who had no experience of woodwork could easily participate in this program. In fact, the program was successfully organized by the MakerSpace team and professional mentors who led the class. This program was conducted in makerspace, which is located on the Hall 609. Originally, MakerSpace have provided practical machine equipment and a working space to students of CAU, who need practical help to embody their engineering task. Recently, MakerSpace have also hosted various events that intrigue the students and faculty members of CAU, just like this one-day experience class- making kitchenware for Chuseok.
