Chung-Ang University Center of Photography Wall Gallery Space in the Young-shin Hall

The Chung-Ang University Center of Photography (CCP) is holding two special exhibitions from November 5th to next January 14th. CCP is Chung-Ang University (CAU)'s Photography Academy, and it started photography training for the first time in Korea in 1992. The Photobook Lounge space and the CCP Wall Gallery space were newly launched in the Young-shin Hall, and now an exhibition is being held. The first exhibition is “100 Korean Photo Books,” a special exhibition of CCP Photobook Lounge, which centered on more than 100 photobook collections of Korean photographers from Photobook Club Seoul. Photobook Club Seoul is a project launched in 2017 with the aim of providing opportunities for Korean contemporary artists to advance and publish overseas. Through this exhibition, visitors will have the opportunity to face the printed photo books that were only available online before. The second exhibition is "The Waiting Time" with Park Geon-hi and three junior photographers who majored in film studies at CAU. After graduating from CAU School of Film Studies, Park Geon-hi co-founded Daum Communication and ran the first virtual gallery exhibition in Korea. However, Park Geon-hi died young at the age of 28, and a Cultural Foundation was established to honor him. For more than 20 years, the foundation continued to support young Korean writers to make their dreams come true. You can see Park Geon-hi and the three young and talented photographers’ work at this exhibition.
