From January 19th to February 8th, the Chung-Ang University (CAU) Center for E-Learning held a test operation for the lecture <Understanding Virtual Reality and the Metaverse>. This lecture was open to every member of CAU including undergraduates, graduates, and faculty. The course consisted of a total of six 25 minutes lectures. This course was opened as a test version in CAU CANVAS (E-Class). This lecture was held to promote understanding of the concept of the metaverse and virtual reality which is one area that students are most interested in. According to the officials, this program was supported by the ‘Step 4. BK21 Innovation Support Fund.’ Students could complete this course by viewing more than 60% of the whole series. The qualification paper was not issued since this lecture was held as a test version. After the test version program ended on February 8th, the Center for E-Learning is planning to re-open this program in this semester. According to the officials, the contents of the final program is going to be edited, reflecting feedback from those who completed it. Rating elements such as quizzes will be also added, and students will be able to receive the certificate of completion if they satisfy the completion standards.
