On February 21st, the student ID card of Chung-Ang University (CAU) was renovated. In the past, only one card combining both student card function and financial functions could be issued. However, there are lots of differences with the newly reorganized student ID card now. Students can select the design and function of their cards. Also, the issuance process has changed depending on the student’s card choice. First of all, students can choose between a design with only the school logo on the front or a design with "Puang," CAU’s mascot, on the front. In addition, students can choose between an "Original student ID card" that does not have any banking function and a "Financial student ID card" that serves a general ID, a Woori Bank check card, and a city transportation card. The issuance process also depends on which type of ID card you choose. After applying for the “Original student ID card” on the portal, students need to go to the Academic Affairs Team on Seoul Campus or the Student Support Team on Anseong Campus. For the “Financial student ID card”, visit Woori Bank CAU branch first and go through the same procedure as the pure student card. The faculty affairs team announced the reason that they reorganized the student ID card was to refresh the school atmosphere, which has been stagnant due to the long-term COVID-19 pandemic.
