Chung-Ang University (CAU)'s overseas volunteer activities often occur during the summer and winter vacations and are a representative volunteer work of CAU. However, due to COVID-19, overseas volunteer work was temporarily stopped in 2020 and 2021. During the summer vacation of 2022, Korean and cultural exchanges with UNIVERSITAS NASIONAL (UNAS) in Jakarta, Indonesia, will be conducted online. UNAS is a university established in 1949 and opened the first Korean language center in Indonesia in 1987 and was officially approved as a four-year department in 2018. Any undergraduate student at CAU could apply, and the final selection has been announced after document screening and interviews in May. Those selected are required to receive pre-training in July and August and will receive pre-training at Anseong Campus from August 13th to 14th. Full-fledged volunteer work will be held online from August 15th to 24th at Anseong Campus. The final selected students will provide Korean language education to UNAS Korean language students They will also conduct cultural exchange activities such as introducing and performing Korean cultures like K-pop, Samulnori, and Taekwondo. In addition, there is also the privilege of participating in this volunteer work. Outstanding people will be selected and preferentially dispatched for face-to-face overseas volunteering next term. In addition, a volunteer activity certificate and volunteer group uniforms will be provided. It would be worth paying attention to overseas cultural volunteer activities that will resume after two years.
