Chung-Ang University (CAU) built the XR[1] studio with the university innovation support project of the Ministry of Education and its innovation support project funds. As a result, it became the first case of a university with a content creation environment capable of real-time rendering. Komine Hideki, CEO of Sony Korea Corp. Professional Solutions Division said, “As digitization progresses everywhere in our daily lives, I believe that the meeting of education and digital technology is indispensable. I am happy to be here.” Sony Korea Professional Solutions Division has provided support for the successful implementation of CAU XR Studio. As a 4K Studio camera, Sony Korea's HXC-FB80 camera and 4K production switcher that can output HDR format, and 4K up-conversion are available in XR Studio. The 4K production switcher XVS-G1, which combines a compact size and image processing function, boasts excellent performance and stability with a hybrid structure that applies CPU, GPU, and FPGA chips together. Based on the cooperative relationship between CAU and Sony Korea, it is expected to provide high-quality online education services under the motto of sharing, cooperation, and realization of social values.
