Chung-Ang University (CAU) signed a "blockchain technology cooperation" with RAON WhiteHat, a blockchain technology company, on June 17th. Through this agreement, CAU and RAON WhiteHat decided to establish a cooperative system to develop convenient and safe services using blockchain technology. The cooperative system consists of various services such as Decentralized Identifiers (DID), and Non-Fungible Tokens (NFT). RAON WhiteHat and CAU will expand technical exchange and human relationships. The cooperation for service development is as follows: Chung-Ang University's Office of Information and Communication Technology provides ideas for discovering blockchain services and the directions in which to take those technologies. Meanwhile, RAON WhiteHat is in charge of discovering and linking external business to develop and implement services. In addition, based on the agreement, about 2,000 CAU undergraduate graduates were issued NFT diplomas in August. RAON WhiteHat and CAU will consider expanding the service in the future, after they run the NFT diploma issuance on a trial basis for summer undergraduate graduates this year. Graduates can issue and store an NFT diploma through WhiteHat's "OmniOne" app. An NFT diploma can be guaranteed its reliability because blockchain technology is applied so that data cannot be forged, and it will enable easy submission of diplomas online through linkage with various institutions and companies in the future.
