Unmanned Delivery Box
On campus, you can use an unmanned delivery box. An unmanned delivery box is a locker that enables packages to be dropped off, even when the recipient is absent. On CAU, there is an unmanned delivery box for use by school insiders such as students and faculties. You can find the unmanned delivery boxes on campus at the first floor of Building 310, the first basement floor of Building 308, and the 5th floor of Building 203. How to use the unmanned delivery box is as follows.
Courier Storage
First of all, it is a method when you want to store an item. In the unmanned delivery box, select ‘Courier Storage’. Next, select an empty box among the options that appear on the screen. After that, enter a 6-digit password that you want. At this time, you should be careful not to expose your password to others because if others know this password, they can take your items. After entering the password, when the selected locker is opened, put the goods in the locker and close the door.
Find a Courier
To remove stored items, first select ‘Find a Courier’ in the unmanned delivery box. Next, select the storage box in which your items are stored. If you have selected a locker, enter the 6-digit password correctly stored by the sender. If the passwords match, the door to the locker will open and you can take out your items from there.
Caution
In order to use the unmanned delivery box, you should observe the following precautions. First, abandoned items will be discarded. Items left unattended for more than 3 days are collected by the management office and stored separately. Second, users shouldn’t the unmanned delivery box for any purpose other than storage of goods. Third, unmanned delivery boxes cannot be used for items that weigh more than 30 kg, explosives, flammable substances, weapons, narcotics, other dangerous and poisonous substances, odorous goods, or perishable foods.
Post Office at CAU
Local Delivery Service
There is also an on-campus post office located on the 4th basement floor of Building 310 that can send parcels or mail. How to use local delivery service is as follows. First, visit the post office, choose the one you need from mail or courier, and fill out the courier documents provided at the post office. On the selected documents, write the names, phone numbers, and addresses of the sender and recipient and give it to the staff along with the parcel. The staff will weigh the parcel, and you pay the price according to the weight. Paper envelopes and delivery boxes are sold at the post office, and tools for assembling delivery boxes, such as box tape and scissors, are also provided, so there is no need to prepare them separately. Sent parcels usually arrive within 1-2 business days.
Overseas Delivery Service
Overseas delivery service is also available at the campus post office. First of all, if you haven’t a box for packing yours, purchase a delivery box at the post office before sending the parcel. After purchasing the delivery box and packaging, fill out the delivery waybill. After writing the name, phone number and address of the sender and recipient on the waybill, hand the parcel and waybill to the staff. For overseas delivery, the delivery fee is charged based on the mass and volume of the item. Once the weight of the parcel is weighed and payment is completed, the reception of the parcel is complete. However, ashes, living creatures, plants, flowers, and weapons such as knives or guns cannot be accepted for overseas courier service. Also, please note that there is a duty-free limit of up to 150USD.
