Chung-Ang University (CAU) cooperated with the Asian Economic Development Council to further strengthen its international competitiveness. Last December, the Asian Economic Development Council and CAU signed a business partnership agreement related to fostering professional manpower through international exchange and cooperation and entering overseas markets. With this agreement as an opportunity, the two organizations plan to actively share information on international exchanges and cooperate, such as attracting foreign students to Korea, developing services related to global education and research, and collaborating on information exchanges related to fostering overseas human resources. In addition, the fields of cooperation between the two are wide. To support international education, research, and commercialization, our university's competitiveness in fields such as ICT, culture and arts, medicine and pharmacy, energy, and urban development will be fully demonstrated. Through this agreement, CAU will further solidify a cooperative relationship with Iran, among other countries in the Middle East. This is because Yoon Seok-heon, head of the Asian Economic Development Council, is an expert on the Middle East and is especially well-known for his knowledge of Iran. Chairman Yoon served as the head of the Korea-Iran Chamber of Commerce and Industry. President Park Sang-gue said, expressing great anticipation for this agreement, “Iranian students who are currently enrolled at CAU are quite satisfied. It is hoped that this agreement will further expand exchanges with the Middle East as well as broaden the base. I hope that the expansion of exchanges at the private level will be helpful to Korea as well.”
