King Sejong Institute (KSI) Zagreb, jointly run by Chung-Ang University (CAU) with the University of Zagreb, Croatia, held the Korean language course completion ceremony last December at Esplanade Hotel in Zagreb. To celebrate the completion ceremony to end the year, Pavo Barisic, a professor at the Department of Croatia at the University of Zagreb, director of KSI in Zagreb, and Deputy Consul Park Jeong-hyeon of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Croatia, attended and made the event shine. Kim Se-il, head of the Department of Social Education and Language Education Center of our university, congratulated the students of KSI in Zagreb through video. Through the graduation event, which was attended by students dressed in hanbok, certificates and souvenirs were delivered to the near 40 students who completed the Korean language course in the second semester last year. The K-pop club Blue Red also held a performance for those in attendance. The KSI Zagreb was designated as a new KSI in September 2020, and after six months of trial operation, it started an official operation last year. It provides various cultural experience opportunities as well as Korean language education for each level, such as beginner and intermediate, and is working hard to spread Korean language and culture. Thanks to Croatia's continuous interest in Korean language and culture, near 100 CAU students visit KSI Zagreb every semester.
