The 'Agora Zone', a space for sharing and collaboration for members of Chung-Ang University (CAU) has opened in the Reference Room on the 3rd floor of the Central Library of the Seoul Campus. CAU Central Library of Seoul Campus held the 'Agora Zone Opening Ceremony' on December 8th, 2022. The opening ceremony proceeded with a opening declaration, a congratulatory speech by the president, a business report, and finally, commemorative photos. Many students and faculty from CAU, including President Park Sang-gue attended the event. On the day of the opening ceremony, President Park Sang-gue personally delivered coffee to those who visited the 'Agora Zone', welcoming and celebrating its departure. 'Agora Zone' is a facility that can be conveniently and freely used for various purposes of users, such as learning, communication, or even just taking a rest, with various types of seats in a large space. It is created at the back of the reference room with a size of about 280 square meters. There are round sofas, numerous tables, and tree landscaping. In addition, 'Agora Zone' has an unmanned cafe for people's convenience. 'Agora Zone' is part of the University Innovation Support Project, which lasts for a total of three years, and will introduce various user-friendly spaces such as Creative Zone and e-Zone in the future. President Park Sang-gue said, "We are making great efforts to modernize the library, which is the symbol of the university, and try hard to have positive impacts on the competitiveness of the university as well as the convenience of students."
