Last February, through an agreement with Seoul Metro Line 9, Chung-Ang University (CAU) will continue to operate the youth entrepreneurship support space prepared at Heukseok Station and Dongjak Station, leading youth entrepreneurship and regional active culture. The purpose of this agreement is to continuously operate the youth entrepreneurship support space created within Heukseok and Dongjak Stations on Line 9, and further strengthen external cooperation between the two organizations. Previously, CAU cooperated with Seoul Metro Line 9 Co., the Seoul Metropolitan Government, the Seoul City Council, Dongjak-gu, etc. to open the Youth Startup Culture Space at Heukseok Station in February 2020 and the Youth Startup Studio at Dongjak Station in May 2021. The two spaces have established themselves as cradles for fostering youth entrepreneurship and revitalizing the region. The Youth Entrepreneurship Culture Space is composed of an exhibition space including introduction of start-up teams, a counseling/education space where entrepreneurship mentoring is conducted, and a place where product exhibitions and demonstrations are held. Youth Entrepreneurship Studios are 9 exclusive spaces where startup teams can move in to work. With this agreement, the two organizations will continue to operate the start-up support spaces within Heukseok and Dongjak Stations. Because CAU was selected for the second phase of the Campus Town project last year, CAU will be supporting the spread of youth entrepreneurship culture with financial aid of 8 billion won over four years from this year to 2026. The two organizations are also reviewing the possibility of ongoing support for youth entrepreneurship that will continue after the third phase of the project.
