Various officials from the Ministry of Education visited the Chung-Ang University (CAU)’s start-up site on February 23rd. Afterwards, CAU's student entrepreneurs and students of club presented their startup plans and progress. CAU, which was selected as the Startup Common University in May 2020, has played a leading role in start-up education by opening the first Ph.D. program in entrepreneurship in Korea. As a result, CAU is has seen various achievements, such as promoting entrepreneurship activities through the improvement of the entrepreneurship-friendly academic system and personnel system. CAU is also spreading metaverse education methods, sharing video contents within the SCOPE system[1], and sharing and starting a platform to spread the results of the regional innovation ecosystem. Through this event, CAU looks back at the Startup Support Center and is expected to focus more on this in the future. The Deputy Prime Minister of Korea said, “Universities play an important role as they have the resources and capabilities to create quality jobs in the future startup market. In the future, we will provide a lot of support for the vitalization of university start-ups.”
